Baroque wardrobe, from Sønderjylland (Nordschleswig), year 1744 (appears from the decoration).
The wardrobe is "exposed" by a professional restorer until the painting about 1780, however there are 4 squares with the original painting and year from 1744.
The painting, from about 1780, is attributed to the painter from the village Aabenraa, Jes Jessen (1743-1807).
It was by Jes Jessen, that C.W. Eckersberg (1783-1853)was the painter's apprentice; and it was C.W. Eckersberg, who was very important in respect of the art of painting in the Danish golden age.
